About Our Company
The Stone Mason is a small company with the capacity to do custom residential work.  I will work one on one with you and make sure you get the best quality stonework possible.  Since I build all stonewalls myself, consistency and high standards of workmanship are easily maintained and reflected throughout the job.  As a specialized mason my goal has always been to bring back the craftsmanship of forgotten days into this new age of building.

History
About twenty years ago my father brought to my attention an ad in the paper.  The advertisement read - "looking for helpers in stone quarry".  Knowing I needed a job and some direction he selflessly grabbed me and off we went to meet the owners.  Within a couple of weeks the phone rang and my career in the stone trade began.  I spent about two years learning to drill and plug, split and cut stone.  I also operated a hydraulic stone cutter.  During this period I gained a real understanding of the nature of stone.  My curiosity and never ending desire to learn fueled my body for the physical challenges I faced working in a rock quarry. After a while an artistic side in me began to emerge and I wondered what it would be like building beautiful walls with the stone we produced.  So within a short while and after implementing some entrepreneural energy I soon found myself on my first stone masonry job.  Armed with a solid knowledge in the cutting and quarrying of stone, I was greatly aided in my endeavors to become a skilled mason.  Through the years I have had the privilege of working with and apprenticing under some very skilled masons and stonecutters and have learned all I could from their years of experience.  I have never regretted that day my father drove me to the stone quarry and provided me with a starting point to a career in stonework.
